Talk about a crazy hop. There are over 400 blogs participating being hosted by I Am A Reader, Not a Writer and The Diary of a Bookworm. I can understand why. Halloween is such a mysterious and fun holiday with all types of lore and traditions. When I was little we went trick or treating, then in high school we would all get together and have shaving cream fights. (That is probably on of my favorite childhood memories.) Then as an adult I went to costume parties. Halloween was always so much fun. A time to just be a kid...even when you aren't. I don't begrudge teenagers who trick or treat...I think we all grow up a little too soon anyway. And is there truly any harm being done...as long as they aren't terrorizing the little kids?
My family's new favorite tradition is to hit up the haunted houses during October. I love going but I am on of those people who doesn't scare easy. I enjoy the anticipation of what will happen, but I always remind myself...this isn't real. LOL! My girls enjoy them too. So much fun and laughter.
The one thing I have yet to do is attend a fancy-smancy masquerade party. Oh, how I would love to dress up in a gorgeous, flowing violet gown and disguise my face behind a matching mask. I would like one with feathers, glitter, and jewels. Then I would dance the night away in a strangers arms. Okay, I am definitely dreaming here, but it is a fantasy of mine. Maybe someday...right?

I love your giveaway! =) I hope I could win (goodluck to me, I'm not a so lucky person when it comes to giveaways).
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Halloween Fantasy.. I always want to attend a Halloween Dance Party or be able to join some kinds in Trick or Treat (but it won't work out for me now, I'm not a kid anymore) so the Dance Party would be the best option for me. We don't celebrate Halloween just like in the States.. It looks awesome, especially with the Fall season, and seeing those carved pumpkins, and dressing up for the halloween... I wish we have something like that here... ((sigh))
I'm trying to start a new tradition this year - Halloween caroling! Because I'm too old to trick or treat... :P

Halloween isn't great here as yet although it is growing.

Favorite halloween fantasy? Well... this is going to sound like a rip off from Cinderella because it kind of is, but eh *shrugs*. I would love to attend a Halloween Ball with a couple of my closest friends. But this ball wouldn't be just a regular ball, it'd be a Masquerade Ball. And when I say ball, I mean BALL! Like... have you ever seen Beauty and the Beast. Remember the scene when Belle and the beast are dancing in a golden room with a grand chandelier, and they are both dressed in fancy attire. That's the kind of ball I mean. So my friends and I would dress up, and wear the masks. Then we'd go, and I could dance the night away. Yeah... like I said, very Cinderelli (lol remember thats how the mice used to call cinderella) but i can't help it
ReplyDeleteOh crap, did I already enter this? - argh, so many giveaways. Please delete my extra entries if I did!
