TBR Intervention - Hereafter and Beautiful Chaos

TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by
and April @ Books4Juliet

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS. However, we will sponsor this event regularly every Saturday.

OMG! Long, long couple of weeks.

Good news...I finished Hereafter by Tara Hudson (which I wasn't sure would ever happen). I'm a glutton for punishment. You will hardly ever see me not finish a book, I'm afraid I might miss something. I've been like that since I was a kid...didn't want to go to bed 'cause I knew something spectacular was going to happen...only to be let down miserably. Kind of same thing with Hereafter.

Beautiful Chaos...simply amazing. I know tons of people don't really like the Caster Chronicle Series but I love them. They are just so different from everything else lurking around. Maybe it's just me? Who really knows.

Now...for the coming week...

I've started this one for review and have really enjoyed the first couple of chapters... I'm hoping to get the rest read this week. It's been sitting in my pile of TBR's for quite a while.

And...I've heard so many wonderful things about these books. It's been sitting on my TBR shelf on Goodreads and in real life since Sept 17, 2011. I'm really looking forward to reading this one.

Starting again...again! LOL!
Nope, haven't finished Hereafter or Beautiful Chaos yet. It's not that I haven't been reading...I have. I just have been reading review books and doing my beta-reading thing and working on my project. At any given time, I am actually reading 5 different books and that can get to be a little much. But...I am going to finish Hereafter and Beautiful Chaos this week. I am...I promise!

TBR Intervention - Divergent and Hereafter

Well, I did manage to finish Divergent (yeah, Barnes and Noble got it here in time, Yay!). I absolutely loved it. I had been missing out on so much. One thing I did learn...before reading Divergent I thought I could be part of the Candor faction because I believe in equality for all and I seriously despise lying...but after reading Divergent, NO WAY. In fact, I don't think I could belong to any single faction...I would probably be Divergent and get myself killed because I'm not near as smart as Tris. And Four, oh how I love Four! I cannot wait for Insurgent now. I can tell you that it will be one of those drop-everything-I'm-doing-and-read-right-now books.

And Hereafter...well, I'm only about half-way through. I can't say I'm sorry I put this one off...but for any of you who know me...I can't stand to NOT finish a book, so I will finish...I will. LOL.

Now for this week...Hmmm. Okay...I'm going with Beautiful Chaos by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It's been on my TBR list since March 20, 2011 but I've just recently gotten my hands on it. I've been disappointed with the final books of the last several series I've read...I'm hoping this one is better.

Yeah! I did it...I finished Wither by Lauren DeStefano...and I enjoyed it. (Shhh...I finished it about an hour ago, don't tell though.) LOL.

It won't go on my favorites list but I did get drawn into the story. There were a few things that creeped me out and I found inappropriate but that's just me...review to come soon.

This week I am going to read Hereafter by Tara Hudson. This book has been on my TBR Shelf since July 2011. I've seen mixed reviews...I really hope I like it.

And...if I happen to get Divergent in before the end of the week, I hope to squeeze it in also. If not...it will be my TBR for next week. I will just have to see how fast Barnes & Nobles gets it to me.
