And just in case you aren't sure what Insurgent by Veronica Roth is...

Synopsis:

One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth's much-anticipated second book of the dystopian Divergent series is another intoxicating thrill ride of a story, rich with hallmark twists, heartbreaks, romance, and powerful insights about human nature.

{Breaking News} Insurgent Promotion Rule Change

HarperTeen just sent a new email, changing the rules and I'm super excited for the change. Some of you may have noticed over the weekend that when you clicked the #TeamAmity link, it took you to Tumblr where you got to see all sorts of cool stuff involving Amity. Then come Monday and the #OtherTeamAmity link went up and it directs you to the HarperTeen Insurgent Website which gives you some very valuable information on Insurgent and the buy links.

Today, we have been told that they are going to promote both links and add the total traffic between the two sites because some of us worried that one site might now be as fun as the other site, but one site is more Insurgent informative than the other, which is just fun stuff. So, I'm going to be changing up my links...again, but I will continue to have both links on my blog and on my giveaways. I want to thank you all for participating and helping us make this promotion a success. When a book is as fabulous as Divergent was and as Insurgent promises to be (I can tell you that from experience), it deserves as much support as we can give it.

Current #TeamAmity Giveaways:
Better Read Than Dead
Hippies, Beauty, and Books, Oh My!
Squeaky Books

Stay tuned, because #TeamAmity is putting together a HUGE giveaway beginning next week.

Here are the two different bit.ly links that promote #TeamAmity:

http://bit.ly/amityfaction - Tumblr
http://bit.ly/choose_amity - HarperTeen Insurgent Buy Links

Okay...on to the next part of business. We at #TeamAmity are looking for some bloggers willing to support #TeamAmity by maybe placing a button on their sidebar, doing a special blog post, and tweeting the #TeamAmity link to the world. Big or small, all blogs are welcome.

This is #TeamAmity's official button...the actual size in the code is 150x150, so half this size. Grab the code, stick it on your sidebar or in a post and start promoting #TeamAmity.

*Just take a guess at which faction Four is talking about.
                 That's right - #Team Amity!

Teaser  #2: I walk barefoot down the hallway a few minutes later, wearing the shirt I slept in and a pair of shorts Tobias borrowed from the Amity. When I get back to my bedroom, Peter is standing next to my bed.

{OMG Moment} Insurgent by Veronica Roth

So, I nearly locked my dog in a closet because she made me so mad.

I heard a light tapping on my front door and, of course, my little Ella starts yapping and yapping. My husband was trying to get to the door and I'm trying to wrangle the barking Shit Tzu so she won't shred the ankles of whoever dared to knock on my door so frickin' early in the morning.

You can imagine the thoughts going through my head...I mean, after all, it's only 9:30 AM and I hadn't had my coffee yet. I know, most people are well on their way by 9:30 AM...not me.

Anywhoo...when I finally got to see what all the hubbub was about...this is what I found. I, like most of the other bloggers out there, had NO idea this was coming.

Okay...so who needs coffee now? Not me because this made my day or week, hell, probably my month. See that pretty little letter on the right...well, it contained some important information. I don't have a lot of details but let me tell you what I do know...borrowed from The Divergent Lexicon's initial announcement.

Harper Collins selected five bloggers to lead faction teams in an ‘Insurgent’ fan-driven promotion/click-through challenge. The Divergent Lexicon is my team leader!

Here are the team leaders:

Divergent Fans— Dauntless
Divergent Examiner— Abnegation
Divergent Lexicon— Amity (That's our team!)
The Story Siren— Candor
Bookalicious— Erudite
Here’s how it’s going to work:

Starting Monday April 2nd, the five sites above, will lead faction teams in a click-through challenge. In addition to the team leader’s blogs, each team will have 9 other bloggers (54 total! One being our blog. Sqwee!!) inducted into their faction. Those bloggers will also receive a copy of the highly coveted Insurgent ARC. The team members (who have already been selected by Harper Collins) will be announced on Choosing Ceremony day, Monday April 2nd.
`
Each faction team will then compete against each throughout the month of April to see who can generate the most reader traffic. We’ll have more information on how you can support Team Amity next week when everything kicks off.
`
Stay tuned for various events here and on our other team members sites as well! It’s going to be an amazing month and we can’t wait to share it with all of you! We’re hoping it helps speed up the wait for the release of Insurgent on May 1st!
`
Make sure you’re following Amity's Team Leader on twitter and facebook, as well as our new Team Amity tumblr, which can be found by clicking here.

Thank you Divergent Lexicon for this great release statement.

Stay tuned to #DivergentNation on twitter for lots of fun.
