Follow Friday #6

Welcome to the Feature & Follow If you are new to the #FF fun, Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel at Parajunkee's Views and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Now to make this #FF interesting we do a FEATURE blogger. It is also required, that if you participate you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee and Alison Can Read) and the two Feature blogs. Our Features - Lisa @ Lisa Loves Literature and Once Upon a Prologue

. If you could change the ending of any book (or series), which book would you choose? Why and to what?

This is going to be a spoiler fest so try to write the title of the book as a dominant feature - and warn people about spoilers.

Oh, this is going to be a tough one. The one I'm really thinking of right now is an ARC, so I won't do it, way to many spoilers.

I felt like Breaking Dawn allowed a lot of people an easy way out, but I was satisfied in the end.

Warning: Mockingjay Spoiler

Ho hum, what shall it be? Well, I think I am going with the Hunger Games and Mockingjay. I was horrified that Primrose died even after all Katniss did to save her. And, the whole Peeta versus Gale thing, well, I was always Teem Peeta but I feel like Katniss chose him because she was forced too. He was the only one around. Gale left to save the world and all that hero crap; so, what was she supposed to do. I am thankful that both Peeta and Katniss survived, because if not, I would have a whole lot more whining and griping to do. I truly thought they were going to just pull the carpet out from underneath them in the end. UGH!

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is a Meme held every Friday by Jennifer @ Crazy For Books! Feel free to hop over to her site and see what all the buzz is about!

“What are you most looking forward to this fall/autumn season – A particular book release? Halloween? The leaves changing color? Cooler temperatures? A vacation? (If your next season is other than fall/autumn, tell us about it and what you are most looking forward to in your part of the world!)”

Well, Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year, so it is pretty high on my list; but mostly, I am tired of triple digit temperatures with no rain. I love Texas but it does suck sometimes. LOL! As for book releases...Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, of course!

  1. Totally agree! Infact so much so I chose the same book for my FF.

  2. I was totally frustrated with Breaking Dawn on more levels than one. I felt like things were way incredibly too easy and there should definitely have been a war with casualties and not some passive thing that just happened.

  3. Hopping through. I'm with you on Peeta/Gale. I didn't think Katniss was forced to choose him. Rather I felt like she settled with Peeta b/c it was easy. I would have rather that she really loved him.

  4. I agree with the ending of Mockingjay! Though I didn't choose it because I know many would voice my opinion. I also wish Prim didn't die. :( I can't wait for Clockwork Prince as well! Thanks for following. I'm following back.

  5. @Alison Can Read

Yes, those were probably the words I should have used. Sometimes I find it difficult to describe what I mean. LOL! Good point!

  6. There seem to be a lot of book bloggers dealing with the heat in Texas. I am in Alabama and can relate. FABR

  12. I soooo can't wait for the fall and (hopefully) cooler weather either! We've been in triple digits too! Plus humidity. Ugh!

Haven't read the Hunger Games trilogy but that seems to be another popular answer this week with Breaking Dawn.

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  13. Exaaactly! Katniss should have had to *chose*!

  14. You know, my problem with Prim's death was that Katniss didn't have the same heart-wrenching reaction as she did to Rue's death, and that really surprised me. I felt like Prim's death should have been this huge, rip-your-heart-out thing....and it wasn't really.

    Happy Friday!

  15. Poor Mockingjay is taking a between for this week's Follow Friday. Reading people's answers is making me happier by the minute that I didn't read it!

  17. Mockingjay's ending was pretty disappointing. I liked it, but I was so heartbroken by how tragic it was...

  18. I'm gonna read the HG soon. I loved Divergent by Veronica Roth, which put me on a total 'Dystopian' kick.

I love paranormal books too, especially if they're paranormal romances!

Have a great weekend. I'm a new follower.

  21. I haven't read The Hunger Games trilogy yet, but I've seen MOckingjay on everyone's FF so I'm sort of scared to read the books now! I had no idea everyone was upset about the ending of the trilogy!

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog - Halloween is my favorite too!

  23. Hmmm...I blame it on Gale. He should have stuck around! ;) (Still, I was on Team Peeta from the day he handed Katniss bread, so I'm not too sorry with the ending.)

    Happy FF! New follower. :)

  24. Yeah, I blame Gale too! I was always team Peeta, but I didn't want it to be because he was the only one left. I wanted her to choose him. LOL! Thanks for stopping by. I stopped by and followed you also!

  25. My sister lives in Austin and she said it was horrible. I live a little further North, but not far enough this year. I was going to your website but I don't have a link. I would love to follow you back.

  26. Can totally relate to your frustration with Mockingjay, it was also my pick,
it's been a year and I'm still not over it! ):

Old follower hopping by, have a lovely weekend!

  27. Haha, I picked Mockingjay too. A lot of people picked that book, Breaking Dawn, or Forever--I just find it amusing that so many people picked those ones. Thanks for stopping by!

  28. Ooh, another hot state! Texas! I live in FL. I am looking forward to the cooler weather and Halloween as well! And I agree with you on HG and Mockingjay, no matter how much I adored them, some of the things that happened irritated me. Though it did make me love it just a bit more as well. Love your blog! 31. I agree with you about Mockingjay, and also with being satisfied with Breaking Dawn even though so many others are unhappy with. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Lisa @ Lisa Loves Literature.

  33. Hello!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I haven't read the Hunger Games series yet, so I didn't read your reasons why, but it has me very curious! Someone else mentioned the ending of this series too! I may have to read it to find out why! :-D

    Happy Blog Hop!

  34. Totally agreed on Mockingjay. Poor, poor Prim. And I am a big Gale/Katniss fan and the more I think about it, the more it is kinda like Peeta "won" by default. Ugh.

Thanks for visiting and following my blog. I'm following back!
