Follow Friday 12/16/11

Welcome to Feature & Follow Friday (err Thursday) on Parajunkee.com

If you are new to the #FF fun, Feature & Follow Friday is a blog hop that expands your blog following by a joint effort between bloggers. Feature & Follow Friday is now hosted by TWO hosts, Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does the work? You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

This weeks features:
Books Are Vital
Once Upon A Time

Question of the Week: When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)

Oh my. Well, I'm going to show off my selfishness here. I keep every book I read. I just can't bear to let them go. I am a book addict and I readily admit it. I fall in love with something in every book I read...even if I end up disliking the book in the end. There have been times when I have ended up with duplicate books because I don't remember buying them or I win them in giveaways. Those books I usually put in my own giveaways or give to someone who wants them.

I do keep a spreadsheet of all the books I own and if someone wants to borrow a book, they have to sign it out. I'm kind of like a library without due dates; however, I am very particular about who I let borrow my books. And...I will come knocking if I don't get them back. LOL. So I'm not all greedy...I just love my books.

What do you do with yours?

Be sure to take a look at my giveaways:

  2. I'd love to keep every book I read, but I just don't have the space for it. I think you are really nice in letting other people borrow your books! I'm more hesitant about that than getting rid of a book I didn't quite enjoy.

I tend to have strict rules for people borrowing my books too! I love my books! All of them are in near pristine condition. A few aren't usually because of my evil backpack and before I learned to just put my book in my purse!

    Here's my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  5. If you had to pick an addiction, I'd say a book addiction isn't so bad. I keep a lot of books, but not every single one.

  6. Thanks for stopping by! I completely agree with you, I'm particular about who I let borrow my books as well. Especially since I've had to buy new copies of certain books cuz people didnt give them back.

  8. Visiting from the hop and laughing at your spreadsheet. Not laughing rudely though! I am so not that organized and I admire you for being so. You can find my answer here

  9. Wow, a spreadsheet! That's intense. :) I am the same way about my books. I've just recently started trying to part with my ARCs so that I can swap for others.
