My all-time favourite character is probably Jane Eyre. I've been able to relate to her since I first read Charlotte Bronte's novel--and that was before I was a teenager!

  19. The book I'm most looking forward to this year is The Elite by Kiera Cass.

A character that I really love is Alina Starkov from Shadow And Bone. I like the fact that she starts out rather uncertain, niave and timid, and grows throughout the novel to be stronger, more certain and more informed about the choices she makes. There is a strange misconception within YA that a heroine must be "strong" (which often comes off as numb to me) from start to finish, rather then actually growing as a character, and I found Alina's character arc to be much more real, and therefore refreshing.

  20. Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Even though her curiousity seems to be her downfall, she always manages to get herself out of tough situations and perseveres.
