TBR Intervention Challenge - Hushed by Kelley York

TBR Intervention is a weekly challenge hosted by
Dani@RefractedLight , Ayanami@Whatever you Can Still Betray, and April@Books4Juliet

The goal of this challenge is to help each other (fellow readers and bloggers) manage our enormous and constantly growing TBR (To-Be-Read) List. The rules are simple and everyone is encouraged to participate. It does not force you to commit to more than what you can manage to read in a week or so, but participants are encouraged to read at least one book within a week. You are free to choose the book you want to read and commit to this challenge. You may post your entry every Saturday, at the frequency of your choice--EVERY WEEK or EVERY TWO WEEKS.

Here are the rules:
1. Post the book(s) you committed to read in your last TBR Intervention post and tell us something about it. Did you finish it? Did you enjoy it or not? Post the link to your review (if you have one).
2. Post a book that you want to read and already own. Pick something that has been sitting on your shelf for too long now (6 months or longer). Commit to read the book in the next couple of days or week.
3. Grab the TBR Intervention Button and post it on your blog sidebar so you will be constantly reminded of the challenge, making it easier for you to commit. This will also encourage other readers/bloggers/visitors to join the challenge.
4. Add the link to your post in the Linky below and make sure to visit the other blogs. Comment, encourage, and spread the love to our fellow readers.

Okay, I am telling you right now that I really suck at this. My TBR list grows by the second so I suppose I should really start knocking a few of them out. I am going to start with a book that I need to review for a blog tour soon.

Title: Hushed
Author: Kelley York
Publisher: Entangled Publishing
Goodreads

Synopsis:

He’s saved her. He’s loved her. He’s killed for her.

Eighteen-year-old Archer couldn’t protect his best friend, Vivian, from what happened when they were kids, so he’s never stopped trying to protect her from everything else. It doesn’t matter that Vivian only uses him when hopping from one toxic relationship to another—Archer is always there, waiting to be noticed.

Then along comes Evan, the only person who’s ever cared about Archer without a single string attached. The harder he falls for Evan, the more Archer sees Vivian for the manipulative hot-mess she really is.

But Viv has her hooks in deep, and when she finds out about the murders Archer’s committed and his relationship with Evan, she threatens to turn him in if she doesn’t get what she wants… And what she wants is Evan’s death, and for Archer to forfeit his last chance at redemption.

I haven't read this book yet, obviously, but I am telling you now, I haven't read a single book that has been published by Entangled Publishing that I haven't fell in love with. They have the market on new and intriguing books. As of this second, Goodreads has a 4.47 Star Rating on Hushed. I can hardly wait to see what its all about.

I never finished my last TBR challenge, so I am starting fresh...like it's week one all over again!

Yay for starting fresh :) I've only read Ward Against Death by Entangled (LOVED LOVED LOVED it), but I have The Marked Son that I won in a giveaway to read, and I desperately want to read Touch. I'll be interested in hearing what you have to say about Hushed. :) Good luck!

  4. Oh, you're so lucky! I have Hushed on my wishlist, and it's not even out yet... I'm so looking forward to your comments. I agree, Entangled is coming up with very interesting titles. Then again, I have to admit I had never paid attention to who published what before I started blogging, so take my opinion with a grain of salt...

Good luck with your challenge! Have a great weekend and... Happy Reading!

  5. I reviewed Hushed last week and loved it! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. After you review it you are more than welcome to add it to the linky below my review. I do that on more popular titles.
I agree, Entangled has put out some great reads recently.

  8. I haven't read The Marked Son...I applied for it on NetGalley and got refused. Funny because I have direct contacts with Entangled now and I get offered every book they publish. LOL. I have read Touch, Night Walker, and some others I forget now. LOL. Thanks for stopping by Dani.

  10. Seams like this week was bad for almost everyone, I didn't even started mine yet, the reason is that real life (outside the blogosphere) was really busy.

  12. I completely agree with starting over this week! I don't know if I have read anything by that publishing company but I think I will have to keep an eye out for it.

  13. Hi Kristin, well I do hope it's a better week for all of us.. I feel sad that I didn't finish Wanderlove but I hope to be done with it before our next TBRIC on Saturday. I'm here at my parent's house today, so I'll probably start reading again tomorrow when we got home. I hope you're having a great week! Good luck with HUSHED. It really sounds intriguing and I hope it's as good as it looks. =)

    Xoxo, April
